Welcome to the Mckinney Islamic Association Sisters Committee (MIASC) official website.
The MIASC was established on January 20, 2020 with the intent to work alongside the McKinney Islamic Association Shura and Imam in providing beneficial programs to the community InshaAllah. We are dedicated to working with local organizations to provide community service events, Workshops, children’s programs, Youth Empowerment and much more bi ithnillah.
Please bring your family and join us in the following MIA programs:
*MIA Storytime & Crafts
Ages 3-11
First Friday of every month
Develop a love for Allah and have fun making crafts
*MIA Teen Talk
Ages 13+
Second Friday of every month
Bi ithnillah giving teens the tools to strengthen their relationship with Allah (SWT)
*MIA Community Potluck
Third Friday of every month
Enjoy food and make new friends InshaAllah
*MIA After-School Qur’an Program
Award Ceremonies which encourage students to learn Qur’an and recognize outstanding students InshaAllah
*Workshops
Topics relevant to the Muslim Community presented by qualified speakers InshaAllah
*Feeding our Neighbors in Need
A monthly community service event for all family members to join in making sandwiches at Mckinney Masjid. Co-organized with ICNA Relief DFW Mercy on Wheels
*Food Drive
A monthly program to collect non-perishable items at the Mckinney Masjid on the morning of “Feeding our Neighbors in Need” to be distributed by ICNA Relief DFW InshaAllah
